Samanden is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful villages of West Bengal. It has the perfect setting in a valley, with a 360° view of mountains all around! It is also the last village of West Bengal nestled in the border of West Bengal & Sikkim. One has to trek to reach this viilage, so this is the perfect place to relax, soak & enjoy peace of mountains & nature & explore a local culture.
Surrounded by pine forests, Samanden (the silent valley/the lost valley) is a table top mountain village 30 mins from Gorkhey village. Located at an altitude of 7500ft, it is the remotest village present in West Bengal.

How to Reach Samanden?
Samanden is not directly accessible by car. However it is a 15 km downward descent from Phalut summit and is often visited enroute of Sabargram-Phalut trek, Sandakphu-Phalut trek and Phoktey Dara Singalila Pass Trek.
However if you want to visit directly, you can choose to trek from Srikhola/Tar Village or from Bhareng in Sikkim. These two points are directly accessibly by car from NJP and Bagdogra Airport. We recommend the Lost Valley Hiking route for a breath-taking experience of Bhareng, Samanden and Srikhola village.
Payment & Cancellation Policy:
- Book your stay with only 30% advance payment and rest of the payment can be done during check-out.
- Any guests tested positive for Covid-19 before reaching to our home, his/her booking can be rescheduled within 1 year.
- Cancellation done between 20 days to 10 days before the check-in date, only 20% cancellation charge to be paid.
- Cancellation done less than 10 days before check-in date, only 30% of total amount to be collected as cancellation charge
