TREK OVERVIEW:
Lepchakha is a hidden gem nestled in the hills of Duars, North Bengal, often called the “Paradise of Duars.” This quaint village lies on the India-Bhutan border and was primarily established by the Drukpa people, originally from Bhutan. The village’s serene beauty and rich cultural heritage make it a must-visit destination for those seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature.
Lepchakha Trek is a true trekker’s paradise. Only accessible by foot, it offers a tranquil escape from the noise of daily life, allowing you to immerse yourself in the heart of nature. Located atop the hills of Buxa Tiger Reserve, this trek is adorned with breathtaking scenery. Along the trail, you’ll encounter stunning mountain valley views from multiple vantage points, making it an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and adventurers alike.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival at Alipurduar and Transfer to Santlabari
Upon reaching Alipurduar, you’ll be driven to Santlabari, passing through the scenic Buxa Tiger Reserve. Settle in and soak up the peaceful surroundings for an overnight stay at Santlabari.
Day 2: Trek from Santlabari to Tashigaon (5-7 km)
Start your trek from Santlabari, venturing through dense forests and tranquil landscapes. Arrive in Tashigaon by evening, where you will spend the night surrounded by the serene beauty of the village.
Day 3: Trek from Tashigaon to Rover’s Point and Lepchakha
Begin the day with a short trek to Rover’s Point, offering breathtaking views. After returning to Tashigaon for breakfast, continue trekking towards Lepchakha. Spend the night at Lepchakha, taking in its pristine and untouched beauty.
Day 4: Trek from Lepchakha to Jayanti via Mahakal and Departure
Start your descent from Lepchakha, trekking through Mahakal to reach Jayanti. Once the trek is complete, you’ll be dropped off at Alipurduar, bringing your adventure to a close.

- Meals: Local cuisine (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea & Snacks)
- Trek equipment (Sleeping bag, mattress, Kitchen-tent, Trekking-Tent, Crampons, Gaitor, Utensils)
- All necessary permits and entry fees.
- First aid medical kits.
- Experience Trek Leader/Guide and Support staff, who are very well familiar with local conditions, routes and mythological stories which are related to this whole trek.
Exclusions
- Any kind of personal expenses.
- Extra charges apply if anyone wants extra sight-seen which is not mentioned above.
- Offloading bag , charges are Rs. 500/- per/ bag/day.
- Transportation
- Due to unfrozen circumstance like natural calamity, strike, Government restriction, Land sliding cost extra.
- Anything which is not mentioned under the inclusion is excluded.
Payment and Cancellation Policy:
- Book your slot with 30% advance payment and rest of the payment can be done on or before 30 days of the departure date.
- Any trekker tested positive for Covid-19 before joining the trek, his/her trek fee will be carried forward for 1 year to avail any of our treks.
- Due to any reason if we have to cancel our trek plans, you will be notified and you will get the full refund.
- Cancellation done 30 days before the departure date, get 90% refund of the full trek fee or get full fee back by book with us for the next trek or batch.
- Cancellation done between 30 days to 20 days before the departure date, get 70% refund or get 90% full fee back by book with us for the next trek or batch.
- Cancellation done between 10 days to 20 days before the departure date, get 50 % refund or get 60% full fee back by book with us for the next trek or batch.
- Cancellation done less than 10 days before the departure date, no refund will be provided or get 40% full fee back by book with us for the next trek or batch.
