Trek Overview

Dafeybhir La Trek is one of the oldest routes of Circuit Trek. It starts from Sandakphu and goes to Goecha La. It is also one of the best-kept secret treks in Sikkim. If you want to explore the offbeat trails away from the huge crowds, this trek is for you. Additionally indulge yourself in Nature completely! You can explore vast flowing rivers and beautiful high altitude lakes nestled on mountains. It offers striking views of the Sikkim and Nepal Himalayas. Moreover you can see Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and Kumbhakarna from countless viewpoints. The views are nearly surprisingly beautiful. Dafeybhir La trek is sure to whet the appetites of those seeking a singular experience.

There are almost 7 high altitude lakes. They spread on and around the trail once we reach 4000 m or 13000 ft. These lakes are medium or large in size. Most of these are on the trail while for a few you have to take a detour for an hour. Nepal Jumley Pokhri (twin lakes), Lampokhri (longitudinal lake), Sikkim Jumley (Ram and Laxman Pokhri) are enroute. However for Tembong Pokhri and Laxmi Pokhri, we will have a slight detour. (Pokhri means lake in Nepalese language.)
