Trek Overview
Brahmatal trek is one of the popular, picturesque winter season trek. It is not only known for its breathtaking beauty.; additionally it is also connected with mythology (which is believed to be the meditation site of Lord Brahma). It is situated 10,000 ft approx., above the sea level, in Uttarkhand, Garhwal region. In the morning you will never imagine how it looks when the sun’s first ray is kissing a snow-clad peak and the night sky full of stars, but when you will witness this beauty it will be kept in your memories forever. Throughout the Brahmatal trek trail you will find the spectacular views of Himalayan & some of the its famous Mountains and Peaks like, Mt. Trishul, Mt. Nadaghunti, Mt. Chowkhamba, Mt. Hathi, Peaks Nilkanth etc. You can see these Mountains and Peaks very clearly and closely.

Short Itinerary
Day 1: Rishikesh/Kathgodam to Lohajung (7800ft) (260 Kms Drive)
Lohajung is the basecamp for Brahmataal Trek. It Normally takes 7-8 hours to reach Lohajungfrom Rishikesh. After arrival on Lohajung our representative will meet you here and will assist for check in at Guest House/Lodge. Rest of the day at leisure at Village. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lohajung.
Day 2: Lohajung to Gujarani ( 9800ft, 5-6 Kms, 4-5 Hrs)
After taking hot breakfast, we move for our first base campsite Gujarani . Today we will cover around 6 kms long trek in 4-5hr crossing the rhododendron jungle. From Begum, we take some rest here, this place provides awesome views of Navali Bugyal and Bagji Bugyal, then we move to Gujarani. We will pitch camp here and hot lunch will be served. Here you enjoy snow and forget about your tiredness. Dinner & overnight stay in camp.
Day 3: Gujarani to Telandi (10400ft, 7KMs, 5/6 Hrs)
After breakfast we will start our trekking for Telandi and enjoy the beauty of Telandi top. Sunset from here is just outstanding. Overnight stay here at camps.
Day 4: Telandi to Brahmtal Summit then return to Brahmtal (12300ft, 7 KMs, 6 Hrs)
Enjoy early morning view at Tilandi then after breakfast we will approach to Brahmatal Top summit (Around 3846 M). and then back to Brahmatal (3400M), the place where Lord Brahma is said to have meditated long ago. This forest is home to Monal, the State bird of Uttrakhand. Views of peaks like Trishul, Bithartoli & Nandaghunti will keep your cameras busy today. The lake of Brahmatal is small in size & is difficult to locate from a distance especially in winters when it’s completely frozen. We will find a camping spot by the lake & set up camps for the night. It can be very cold here in the months of winters but our camps & sleeping bags will keep us warm during the night.
Day 5: Brahmtal to Lohajung
This day marks the end of this magnificent trek. After enjoying the best views and the snow laden trail, we will move to Lohajung. We will reach Lohajung by the afternoon. This day could be used to rest as well as explore the small town and hear the mythological stories by the locals and immerse in their culture. Stay in the guest house.
Day 6: Departure from Lohajung Village
In the morning board vehicle for the return journey to Kathgodam. With sweet memory of this beautiful trek.

- Personal rucksack carrying cost by porters during trek. ( on advance booking basis approx ₹500/bag per day basis)

How to Reach at basecamp?
Nearest Railway Station is Haridwar or Kathgodam and Nearest airport is Dehradun (Jolly Grant) Airport. You can take a share cab from Rishikesh/Kathgodam to reach directly to our Basecamp at Lohajung. We will help you to keep a seat for you in that car (have to inform atleast 2 days before the departure date). We also can arrange personal car to drop you to our base camp whose cost will be divided by the trekkers on earlier request basis. (Reserved bolero cab cost will be Rs. 8000-9000/-). It will take around 8-9 hours to reach base camp from Rishikesh/Kathgodam/Dehrahdun, so plan accordingly.
Payment & Cancellation Policy:
- Book your slot with 30% advance payment and rest of the payment can be done on or before 30 days of the departure date.
- Any trekker tested positive for Covid-19 before joining the trek, his/her trek fee will be carried forward for 1 year to avail any of our treks.
- Due to any reason if we have to cancel our trek plans, you will be notified and you will get the full refund.
- Cancellation done 30 days before the departure date, get 90% refund of the full trek fee or get full fee back by book with us for the next trek or batch.
- Cancellation done between 30 days to 20 days before the departure date, get 70% refund or get 90% full fee back by book with us for the next trek or batch.
- Cancellation done between 10 days to 20 days before the departure date, get 50 % refund or get 60% full fee back by book with us for the next trek or batch.
- Cancellation done less than 10 days before the departure date, no refund will be provided or get 40% full fee back by book with us for the next trek or batch.
