Tumling is a popular trekking destination and offers some of the most scenic trekking trails in the Himalayas. Sandakphu-Phalut Trek is one of the most popular treks that starts from Manebhanjang or Dhotrey or Gurdum, small villages near Tumling. The trek takes you through the Singalila National Park, offering stunning views of Sleeping Buddha. We recommend that this trek is a must-do for adventure enthusiasts and offers a unique experience of exploring the Himalayan ranges.

Best Time to Visit
Anytime throughout the year but October – February can be the best time to visit Tumling to get the high chances of best view and also with the chances of snowfall during January-February. While in the month of March- April trail will be full of Rhododendron flowers.

How to Reach Tumling?
Tumling is located in Illum district of Nepal just at border of India/Nepal inside Singalila National Park and can be reached by road. The nearest airport is Bagdogra Airport, which is about 90 kms away from Tumling. The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri Station, which is about 100 kms away from Tumling.
Now, to reach Tumling via car, one has to reach Maneybhanjan from Airport/Railway Station. Reserve car to Maneybhanjan will cost you in between ₹ 4000-₹ 4500.
If you choose to reach Maneybhanjan via sharecab then one car leaves from Siliguri Junction at 8.30 am and it will charge you ₹ 350 per person and same car will leave from Maneybhanjan towards Siliguri at 1.30 pm. To book you seat advance in this share car you can contact directly to the driver (+91-9593223563).
Now, for going towards Tumling from Maneybhanjan you have to reserve a car from Landrover Association by taking proper permits as you will be entering Singalila National Park.
